Description
This course is designed for all organisations who have implemented, or want to implement, an environmental management system (EMS) with a view to meeting the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.
Who should attend?
The course is suitable for all who have a role or responsibility for auditing the EMS within their organisation. Auditors could be in the position of Lead Auditor; Internal Auditor; or Supplier Auditor (2nd party) and need to understand the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. Additionally, managers with responsibilities related to the development and implementation of the environmental management system within their company.
Course Outline
- Course attendees will be provided with an understanding of the elements of an environmental management system.
- Identify the relationship between significant aspects/impacts within the broader analysis of organisational risks and opportunities.
- Understand the concepts of sustainable development, corporate sustainability and associated policies and strategies.
- The importance of identifying environmental legislation along with other compliance obligations such as codes, internal policies and external requirements (e.g. contracts).
